School Performances

Our KS2 summer musical this year was 'Wind in the Willows'. Year 6 did a fantastic job in the lead roles and as narrators - we had many brilliant soloists this year - whilst Year 5 were menacing stoats and Year 4 provided beautiful hand-chime accompaniment to some of the songs. All in all it was a fantastic performance, and, as usual, a great team effort.

Each year, every child in Year 3 and Year 5 learns brass instrument technique for a term and a half. Pupils then put on a special performance of their music for parents to showcase their skills and some children progress to regular weekly lessons and even music grade exams for trumpet.

Children in Year 4 learn to play the hand chimes, which they revisit in subsequent years for school performances. This Autumn, Year 6 provided hand chime accompaniments for three of our harvest songs at our St. Chad's Harvest Festival.
