Child Protection and Safeguarding policy
The governors and staff of Bishop’s Tachbrook CE Primary School fully recognise the contribution it makes to safeguarding children. We know that all staff, including volunteers, have a full and active part to play in protecting our pupils from harm.

Anti-Bullying Policy
(TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BEHAVIOUR POLICY)
The aim of the anti-bullying policy is to ensure that pupils learn in a supportive, caring and safe environment without fear of being bullied, and that staff are free from fear of bullying by pupils.
Attendance Policy
Attendance at school is vital for academic and social success. This policy explains how we hope that parents will work with us to maximise children’s potential through excellent attendance.
Behaviour Policy
At Bishop’s Tachbrook CE Primary School, a consistent policy for acceptable behaviour is important, so that children have a framework within which they can develop and learn, in a secure environment. The policy is designed to be clear to children, staff, parents and governors, and to encourage a collective commitment to establishing and maintaining good behaviour in the school.
Charging and Remissions Policy
The purpose of the policy is to ensure that there is clarity over those items which the school will provide free of charge and for those items where there may be a charge.
Children Looked After
We make sure our provision for children who are in care, or who have been in care, meets their needs so they have the chance to flourish at our school.
Collective Worship
Each day there is an act of collective worship. This policy explains the legal implications for collective worship and how we work within those.
Complaints Procedure
We are very keen to work with parents to make our school the best it can be. If you have any feedback you want to give or wish to raise any concerns, please do speak to class teachers at the first opportunity. If you feel your concerns are not being addressed appropriately then please speak to the Headteacher or another member of the leadership team. This procedure provides guidelines if you wish to make a formal complaint.

Health and Safety Policy
At Bishop’s Tachbrook CE Primary School we are committed to ensuring our school community is kept safe at all times. Bishop’s Tachbrook CE Primary uses the County Council’s health and safety policy as the first part of the school health and safety policy. The school health and safety policy arrangements supplement the WCC health and safety policy and relate to local procedures and relevant documents in place that are used in the management of health and safety within the school.
Medical Conditions at School Policy
This school understands that it has a responsibility to make the school welcoming and supportive to pupils with medical conditions who currently attend and to those who may enrol in the future. We aim to provide all children with all medical conditions the same opportunities as others at school.
Personal, Social and Health Education Policy
The development of the whole child is extremely important at Bishop’s Tachbrook CE Primary School and this policy outlines how we support the pupils to develop their personal, social and health understanding.
Relationships and Sex Education Policy
Effective relationships and sex education is key in supporting young people through their physical, emotional and moral development, enabling them to make informed life choices confidently, and furthering their respect for themselves and others as they move through life. This requires a school wide approach, growing children’s knowledge, skills and attitudes from reception through to year 6. This policy outlines Bishop Tachbrook CE Primary’s approach.

Staff Well-being policy
The well-being of staff and pupils is of great importance at our school. This policy outlines the approaches we take to ensure staff well-being is considered at all times.
Uniform policy
As a school we have a school uniform to show that we belong to the school community. There is no expectation for uniform to display the school logo, although can if parents choose. The PTA also have a wide selection of high quality, once-loved uniform available to families for a donation.
