Our Aim

Bishop’s Tachbrook PTA is a community of passionate parents and dedicated teachers who join forces to raise funds whilst also creating memories for the children and their families who are at the heart of BT School.

The money raised is used to purchase equipment and resources that the school would otherwise be unable to fund, thus broadening and enriching the experience for the pupils at BT.

Fundraising activities and events:

  • KS1 and KS2 discos
  • Christmas Cards
  • Naughty Elf Day
  • Sparkle and Shine Day
  • Christmas Fayre
  • Movie Nights
  • Mother's Day gifts
  • Easter Egg competition
  • Marshalling the 'Regency Run', Leamington Spa
  • Spring Fayre
  • Father's Day gifts
  • Quiz
  • Non-uniform days

To support with these events, as well as the generous contributions from parents and staff, the PTA reaches out to local businesses for raffle donations. If you know of a business that would be willing to donate a prize, please contact the PTA.
Please see below for the list of local businesses who have supported us this year.

Second-hand school uniform

Through generous donations, we have a huge collection of excellent quality second-hand uniform. This is often available to see at Learning Celebrations and at the Christmas and Spring Fayres. It is also possible to contact the PTA via the email address to arrange to view the items at school. Alternatively, we have a try-before-you-buy policy, so if you are not satisfied with any item, please return it, before making your donation. Not only is this a great way to save money but it also promotes the school’s eco ethos by helping the environment through reusing and reducing waste.

Projects funded

In recent years, the PTA has been able to fund golden time baskets for each classroom, a set of art lamps and playground equipment.

Last year the PTA raised the funds for a brand new, electronic security gate to be installed at the side of school. This enables the pupils to play safely during out-of-school club and ensures a much smoother and more secure experience at collection time.

Already this year, the PTA has purchased four new interactive whiteboards for classrooms and has renewed the subscription to the Marvellous Me app, enabling the teachers to continue sharing the pupils’ fabulous achievements with parents. Most recently, the PTA has assisted the school in purchasing a complete class set of ipads. These are being used across the school to help pupils to research, develop their IT skills and access interventions to support their learning.

The PTA was also successful in applying for funding through the Parish Council for solar panels. These have been installed and are currently working to save the school money and reduce the carbon footprint.

Through a parent link, the school were lucky enough to enlist the help of the Jaguar Land Rover Community Project scheme, who developed the Peace Garden during the May half term. This is something that the school had wanted to develop for a while, in order to provide the pupils with a calm space outdoors to think, reflect and boost their mood. It will also provide a sensory area and spaces to remember those who have been lost to the school community. The project was funded by the PTA.
