Mrs Morton-Abbott is a teaching assistant in Reception. We asked her some questions to find out more about her:
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
I enjoy spending time with our dog as he always puts a smile on my face along with my family. Plus I love keeping myself busy by crocheting, cross stitch and generally make things. I also keep in touch with and visit my Spanish family.
What is your favourite band?
I don’t have a favourite band because I love listening to all types of music. This ranges from pop to reggaeton, classical to hip hop depending upon how I’m feeling.
Wassily Kandinsky
The creator of the first modern abstract paintings, Wassily Kandinsky was an influential Russian painter and art theorist. He was 30 years old when he began his studies in painting, focusing on life drawing, sketching, and anatomy, at the University of Munich.
He was not immediately accepted into the university as an art student, and so in the meantime he began learning art by himself. His abstract works were a creation of his intense philosophical beliefs, based on his own personal experiences with art. The devotion to inner beauty remained a central theme in his art.
